Thanks to everyone that attended our January meeting. As usual it was a well attended meeting due to our economic speakers looking into their crystal balls and giving us and insightful look into the future economic conditions of the Triad.

John Shoffner the Economic Development Program Manager for Greensboro and Sandy Dunbeck, Senoir VP High Point Economic Development Corp spoke about their regions  wins and losses and how 2012 will have a light at the at the end of the Triad economic tunnel. Both informed us that the cities were moving in the right direction from medical, aviation, data centers, institutional and manufacturing. If you missed this meeting you missed economics 101 of the Triad.

I am looking forward to seeing you again at the February month joint meeting with USGBC that will be held at Volvo Truck in Greensboro and don’t forget it is FREE! And how many times today can you get something FREE for just showing up!

Are you are interested in taking the CFM Exam or just in learning more about facility management in general?  The Orlando IFMA Chapter is continuing to offer their monthly webinars. There are two ways you can participate. For $10 you can log in at your desk or someone can host sessions at a central location and our Chapter will pick up the cost.  Cindy Holmquist our local Education Chair is looking for someone interested in hosting the central location option.   It has been a while since anyone from our Chapter received their CFM designation.  Please let Cindy Holmquist know how she can help you to reach your goal or if you are interested in hosting the CFM webinars.
